Baylor junior guard Davion Mitchell — a potential lottery pick — is declaring for the 2021 NBA Draft and plans to hire an agent, sources tell The Athletic.

Mitchell led Baylor to the national championship on Monday, completing a breakout season in which he was named the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year and was first-team All-Big 12. Mitchell averaged 14 points and 5.5 assists per game for the Bears. He had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists in Baylor's 86-70 win over Gonzaga in the title game.

Mitchell is the No. 11 player on Sam Vecenie's NBA Draft Big Board.
