Bayern Munich have added Steven Ribery to their academy on a full professional contract, after Franck's younger brother impressed on a trial with the treble winners. The 19-year-old has been training with Bayern since August after Franck Ribery persuaded Bayern coaches to give his younger brother the chance to train at the Allianz Arena. After spending more than two months attempting to impress Steven's efforts have been rewarded with a short-term deal, according to L'Equipe. Older sibling Frank has revealed that he brought Steven to Bavaria after he became disillusioned with life at the academy of Ligue 2 side Lens, explaining that he feels the youngster has enough talent to carve out a future in the game at some level with an improvement in attitude. He said: "It was not my character. He just dropped football, mentally. I have taken him with me for fifteen days.
