A rough June turned painful Friday for Hanley Ramirez. Ramirez was in the batting cage working on his swing when a batted ball struck him in the nose, leaving him dazed. As a result, Ramirez was scratched from the lineup and replaced at third base by Donovan Solano. "I thought it was one of his teammates [who punched him in the face]," joked manager Ozzie Guillen. "But, no, [I think he] fouled it off, and it hit him back in the nose. I took him out of the lineup because he's kind of dizzy right now. He should be ready [Saturday]." The pregame mishap scuttled Guillen's lineup plans to bat Ramirez in the No. 2 hole, one spot ahead of Giancarlo Stanton. Guillen said the change was intended to ensure Stanton bats in the first inning. Ramirez, who hasn't hit second since May of last season, is hitting just .186 in June.
