When he first realized he was pitching on Memorial Day, Barry Zito was a little bummed. He was hoping to be close to a pregame ceremony involving triple amputee Marine Cpl. Nick Kimmel, who threw out the first pitch. Instead, Zito was warming up in the bullpen, way up the left-field line. "We all support him and keep cheering him on," said Zito, whose Strikeouts for Troops foundation has supported Kimmel, who served in Afghanistan. "The fact he did this was awesome."
