Barcelona will make a renewed effort to sign Philippe Coutinho during the January transfer window, according to a report in Spain. Mundo Deportivo claim that the La Liga leaders are 'determined' to land Liverpool's Brazilian playmaker after failing to agree a deal last summer. However, the Merseyside club are now said to value Coutinho at a whopping £134million after turning down a final bid worth £114m in August. Barca had hoped their final offer would be enough to convince Liverpool to sell, but Jurgen Klopp and the Reds hierarchy refused to cash-in on the 25-year-old. The Spanish giants believe Liverpool's current valuation is unrealistic and they are expected to use the fact Coutinho is cup-tied in the Champions League as a tactic in their negotiations.
