The Winnipeg Jets may be going into battle tonight against the Dallas Stars minus one of their deadliest weapons. Left winger Evander Kane, tied for the team scoring lead with Bryan Little, did not participate in Saturday morning’s game-day skate at American Airlines Center and – according to head coach Claude Noel – will be a game-time decision for tonight’s matchup with the Stars (6 p.m. CBC/TSN 1290). The Jets have said Kane has an "upper body" issue, but are still hopeful he will be able to go tonight. There are two extra forwards with the team on this road trip who could be inserted into the lineup if Kane can’t to in Chris Thorburn and Patrice Cormier. "It’s just maintenance. It will be a game-time situation where we’ll see how he’s doing," said Noel. "We have to see." The Jets had an off-day on Friday and the players used the opportunity to go out for a team dinner. They are 4-5-2 and coming off two frustrating games – a shootout loss to Washington and OT defeat in Nashville and sit in sixth place in the Central Division -- two points ahead of the 4-5-0 Stars, who do have two games in hand.
