Russell Westbrook's time with the Los Angeles Lakers is something both he and the franchise will want to forget in a hurry. His play declined a lot and he was blamed for many of the team's failures, sometimes unfairly.
And now Russell Westbrook's former teammate, Austin Rivers, has spoken out in his defense. Rivers defended Westbrook's performances on the Los Angeles Lakers while throwing some shade at the organization in an interview with ClutchPoints.
“You know how that is over there on that team,” Rivers said. “They’re gonna find an answer and it ain’t gonna be some other people. It’s gonna be him. I think Russ was just a person at the wrong place at the wrong time and the wrong situation.
