Deandre Ayton denied ESPN's report that said he received money from Arizona to play basketball with their program. Ayton's attorney issued a statement from the family Saturday stating they were "outraged and disgusted" by the report which detailed Arizona coach Sean Miller discussing payment for Ayton on an FBI wire tap. "DeAndre directly stated to the FBI, more than six months ago, that he never discussed or solicited payments from the University of Arizona, or any other university or any shoe company or anyone on behalf of either — Period," the statement read, via ESPN. "This includes basketball or anything else." Miller allegedly told Christian Dawkins who was working as a runner for ASM agent Andy Miller at the time to discuss "money" with him when it came to paying Ayton for coming to the school.
