Diego Simeone hinted Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann could leave the club, when he was asked about the Frenchman being booed by his own supporters in Atletico Madrid’s 0-0 draw with Real Madrid. The Atletico coach hooked his French forward for the second consecutive league game and he was jeered as he made his way off the pitch in the second half. Simeone said: ‘In my house I was taught that while someone is part of the family you stand up for them until the death.’ t was the ‘while’ that resonated with Atletico Madrid fans who already sense that Griezmann’s days are number with United having narrowly missed out on signing him last summer and Barcelona poised to move for him in 2018. Griezmann has now scored just two goals in 10 games and Simeone repeated twice more in a later press conference. ‘You support people to the death until the day that they are no longer part of your family.' Midfielder Saul added: ‘People have to back him. Greizman is our most decisive player and we have to support him always.’
