Besides the draft picks and undrafted free agents, the Bengals will have a number of players working out on a tryout basis when rookie minicamp starts on Friday. Nine of those players set to participate have local or regional ties. The two that stand out are CB Cameron Cheatham, who played at UC, and WR/TE Nick Truesdell, who went to Anderson High School and later played at Grand Rapids Community College. The others are C Mario Benavides (Louisville), S/CB Brian Gamble (Ashland), WR John Goodman (Notre Dame and a Fort Wayne, Ind., native), QB Taylor Housewright (Ashland), P Scott Kovanda (Ball State), QB Ryan Radcliff (Central Michigan and a Sherwood native) and DE/LB Taylor Wyndham (Kentucky).
