Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has admitted to talkSPORT the club are ‘exploring’ a potential deal for Robert Snodgrass and are also interested in signing Arsenal outcast Jack Wilshere. The Villans boss is confident he has a squad capable of challenging for promotion after finally finding their feet in the new season. Villa suffered a poor start to the campaign – losing two of their first three Championship games – but bounced back by beating Norwich 4-2 in the league and then Wigan 4-1 to progress in the EFL Cup. But Bruce is still keen to strengthen his side further before the window shuts. The club are rumoured to be chasing a season-loan move for West Ham winger Snodgrass – who has not settled in London since his £10million move from Hull City – while Villa are also one of the many sides linked with a move for Wilshere, who is also out of the first team picture at Arsenal.
