As David Alaba’s contract negotiations with Bayern Munich went from a campfire to an inferno in a matter of a few hours yesterday, Bild (behind the Bild+ paywall) combed through the news from the past few months to identify the six most likely destinations for the 28-year-old Austria international. Not shockingly, there are some power clubs lining up to potentially make an offer to Alaba.

Per the report, Alaba sees FC Barcelona and Real Madrid as “preferred destinations.” There were, however, several clubs listed as “secondary” options for Alaba. Those contingency plans include Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and Liverpool. The aforementioned clubs would likely be able to find a way to financially make a deal work, even if it meant off-loading talent that is currently on their respective rosters.
