Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that the Costa Rica forward Joel Campbell, who scored in the 3-1 win over Uruguay yesterday, will feature in his plans next season. The 21-year-old joined the Gunners in 2011, but has been out on three loans spells, to Lorient in 2011, Real Beits in 202, and Olympiakos last season. He obtained a work permit to enable him to play in England last year. "He will definitely come back to us for pre-season," Wenger who is over in Brazil on commentary duty for France television, said. "He is maturing well." In addition to scoring the equaliser against Uruguay, Campbell also played a defence-splitting pass for Costa Rica's third. Arsenal wasted no time in proving they were behind their young star, compiling three tweets in support of his performance.
