IT looks like it's all over for Ainsley Maitland-Niles at Arsenal.

The midfielder-turned-defender endured a torrid time with the Gunners when Mikel Arteta first arrived at the club.

Out of favour, he was left out the team for reportedly turning up late to training on a number of occasions.

But it appeared he had won back his manager's faith, earning a spot in the Fa Cup final startling line-up against Chelsea, and starring in a 2-1 win.

Now, the 22-year-old is said to be surplus to requirements at the Emirates, with a £30million price tag on his head.

And that has alerted Tottenham to his availability, who could swoop to pinch the speedy star.

His career so far has had its ups and downs.

Born in Ilford, Maitland-Niles was mostly raised by single mother, Jules.

"There were times their dad would help out, like playing with the kids," she later told ViralRealLife.

"There were also times when he wasn't helping out in the right ways - like providing food.

"Obviously, you can't eat a pair of football boots."
