According to the Evening Standard, the Gunners are becoming increasingly confident they can secure the signing of the Anfield top scorer this summer. Arsenal made a £30million bid for Suarez earlier this week and the report claims they are prepared to increase that fee, as Liverpool rejected the initial offer straight away. However, it also claims that Emirates Stadium boss Arsene Wenger sees his chances of landing Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain as fading fast. Not only does it say the Higuain deal is becoming increasingly unlikely, but moves for Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini and QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar too.
