Arsenal are plotting an emergency move for Jefferson Montero if they fail to land a big name. Manager Arsene Wenger has been chasing Real Madrid trio Angel Di Maria Mesut Ozil and Karim Benzema and is also interested in Schalke’s Julian Draxler. It is believed the £38million buy-out clause in Draxler’s contract expired in June. Cardiff have been in negotiations with Montero and his Mexican club Morelia but the Premier League new boys have been made aware of Arsenal’s interest.
