ARSENAL have emerged as unlikely bidders to throw out of favour Chelsea central defender David Luiz a much needed career lifeline. The Brazilian international is out in the cold at Stamford Bridge and could be sold during the transfer window as he looks to get his career back on track. Luiz was dropped by Antonio Conte at the end of October but then picked up a knee injury which he is now back in training after recovering from. The Blues believe he will be back to fitness in time for next week’s FA Cup third round tie against Norwich City but he still faces an uncertain future.
