Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, after an approach from Juventuswas rejected.

The Poland international is said to be on his way out of the club after refusing to extend his current contract at the Stadio San Paolo, which is due to expire in 2021.

Juventus are interested in Milik's services but, according to Italian publication La Repubblica, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is keen to avoid strengthening a fellow Serie A rival.

He is said to be willing to do anything to prevent Milik joining Juventus and would be prepared to accept an offer below their €50m (£45m) asking price.

As a result, a number of Premier League sides have been linked with the 26-year-old but La Republicca claim that the Gunners are the frontrunners.

Milik worked closely with club legend Dennis Bergkamp during his time at Ajax and he could be tempted to try and follow in his former mentors footsteps in north London.
