Arsenal have been encouraged by reports that Real Madrid may be coming round to the idea of letting Alvaro Morata leave on loan in the January transfer window, reports Spanish newspaper AS. Arsene Wenger has been linked with a number of high end strikers following the season-ending injury to Theo Walcott with the Arsenal boss hopeful of signing Morata on a six month loan deal. The Gunners are willing to pay Real Madrid up to €2m for the chance to take the 21-year-old on a temporary deal as Wenger looks to increase his options in attack. But a deal was thought to be dead in the water after Carlo Ancelotti declared that he is not planning for any departures in the January transfer window. However, reports in the Spanish media claim that officials at the Bernabeu are coming round to the idea of loaning the young Spanish striker out for the rest of the season.
