Arsenal’s season is lurching from bad to worse. The Gunners didn’t just lose to Brighton on Saturday, but they also had to see goalkeeper and top performer Bernd Leno forced out of the clash through injury. With the north London giants now having a decision to make, Mikel Arteta could be tempted to swoop for Joe Hart on a free transfer. But, given how the shot-stopper’s stock has fallen in recent years, that would represent an almighty gamble.
Arsenal have seen Leno kick on this season, with the Germany international taking his game to new heights following the departure of Petr Cech.
He was certainly the best Gunners player on the pitch last week as the north London giants slipped to a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
