Arsenal could make a fresh move for Raheem Sterling in January. Gunners chief Arsene Wenger is a big fan of the Manchester City forward and an approach for him could yet hold the key to Alexis Sanchez’s future. The Blues failed with their bid for Sanchez at the end of the summer transfer window, when Arsenal believed they were willing to offer Sterling as part of a deal. City boss Pep Guardiola has insisted the 22-year-old is not for sale and that it was the Gunners who asked for him. Arsenal maintained their No1 target was Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, but they failed with a £90million bid for him on deadline day. The Londoners could now make a fresh bid for Sterling, as they look for top class replacements for Sanchez.
