Washington D.C. police have made an arrest in connection with the shooting of Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. during an attempted robbery in August, according to multiple reports.
Police said two people approached Robinson after he left a storefront along H Street in Northeast Washington shortly before 6 p.m. on August 28, and that the player was able to “wrestle a firearm away” from one of the two male assailants before the other shot him, according to the Washington Post. The person arrested was a juvenile, according to The Post.
The assault resulted in one gunshot to Robinson’s knee and one to his lower body.
