For the first time since 2017, Nick Starkel is no longer on the bench.

Arkansas head coach Chad Morris announced Monday the Razorbacks will start Starkel, a graduate transfer from Texas A&M, this Saturday against Colorado State in favor of Ben Hicks, a graduate transfer from SMU who started the first two games of the season.

Starkel relieved Hicks in the second half of Arkansas' 31-17 loss to Ole Miss on Saturday. The Argyle Liberty Christian product went 17 of 24 for 201 yards and a touchdown. Saturday will be Starkel's first start since throwing for a career-best 499 yards in A&M's loss to Wake Forest in the 2017 Belk Bowl.
