In April, the Arizona Cardinals made the first pick.
On Wednesday, they made the only pick.
The Cardinals were the only team to take a player in the 2019 NFL supplemental draft when they bid a fifth-round selection on safety Jalen Thompson out of Washington State.
Thompson was All Pac-12 in his junior campaign, and in three years, he had 190 tackles, 11 sacks, six interceptions, 17 passes defended and two forced fumbles.
He joins a revamped defense the Cardinals have worked to bolster during through free agency and the draft.
Making the pick in the supplemental draft means the Cardinals will forfeit their fifth-round selection in the 2020 NFL draft.
This is the first time the Cardinals have taken a player in the supplemental draft since 1990 — tight end Willie Williams out of LSU.
