Any talk of Stefano Sturaro moving to Newcastle United is ‘premature’ according to the player’s agent as links to the Juventus midfielder resurface ahead of the January transfer window. The 24-year-old midfielder has been at Juventus since 2014 but has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Italian side’s midfield. United were credited with an interest for Sturaro back in the summer but with a reported price tag of up to €20million, any talk of a move for rejected by club sources. Sturaro has spent time out on loan at Genoa but his return to Turin last season saw him only make 21 appearances at Juventus lifted the Serie A title. This campaign he has only appeared three times with injuries proving a mitigating factor. But with the transfer window closely approaching, rumours of a move to the Premier League have heightened and speaking to Italian media outlet ilbianconero, his agent Stefano Volpi has spoken about United’s reported instance.
