Antony has vowed to keep bringing out his beloved skills following criticism of his signature spin in Thursday's victory over Sheriff.

The young Brazilian is famous for pulling out a spin when controlling the ball - a move known as the Antourny - but his decision to whip out the move on Thursday divided opinion. After two 360 turns, Antony ended up passing the ball directly out of play, with many fans and pundits alike blasting his actions.

Manager Erik ten Hag, who is familiar with the move from his time with Antony at Ajax, has stressed that he has no problem with tricks but he would not hesitate to 'correct' the winger if he began showboating for the sake of it.
