With Sunday night’s loss to the Chicago Bears firmly in the rearview mirror, it sounds like, if he has his way, the Minnesota Vikings will be getting another part of their defense back in time for another big Sunday Night Football matchup in the NFC North.
On Monday, linebacker Anthony Barr made the declaration that he will be playing on Sunday Night against the Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium. We’ll have to see if the coaching staff agrees with his assessment, but according to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Barr was very close to playing at Soldier Field against the Bears.
“I felt good,” Barr said. “I’ve just got to be smart. I’ve got to understand. I don’t want to be a liability out there if I don’t feel 100 percent.”
Barr wouldn’t elaborate on what went into the final decision for him to sit out the Bears game.
