It was kind of nice complaining about the quality of the starting pitching rather than the injuries that the starting pitching had suffered, but when you put it all together, all it really means is that: the starting pitching sucks.

And now Andrew Heaney is out. The 28 year old, having started the season late due to (you guessed it) injury, has compiled 46 innings of 5.09 ERA ball. He hasn’t been great, but there have been times when you think he’s about to turn the corner. He is striking out more than a batter an inning.
