The Angels have acquired right-hander Vinnie Pestano from the Indians, both teams announced. Minor league righty Michael Clevinger is heading to Cleveland in the deal. Pestano, 29, has spent most of the season in Triple-A, where he had a 1.78 ERA with a 37/12 K/BB in 30 1/3 relief innings. He's thrown nine innings with the Tribe (5.00 ERA). Pestano battled injury and ineffectiveness last year (4.08 ERA) but was a dominant setup man from 2011-12 (2.45 ERA and 10.9 K/9). The Halos added Huston Street, Jason Grilli and Joe Thatcher to their bullpen in the weeks leading up to the trade deadline. (Thatcher is currently on the DL with a foot injury.) Pestano will join that group as well as former Indians teammate Joe Smith to form the core of Mike Scioscia's stretch run bullpen.
