He's the captain, so he can probably get away with it. Andrew Ladd has taken a poke at Winnipeg Jets teammate Evander Kane's recent Twitter escapade. On his own Twitter account (@aladd16) early this afternoon, Ladd tweeted the picture that got Kane into some hot water, doctored to make it look like it was Jets head coach Claude Noel holding wads of cash on a Las Vegas balcony. Along with the photo was the message: "Hey @EKane9JETS pick up the phone! Time to get to work!" Kane, who hasn't yet arrived in Winnipeg, tweeted a similar message to boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr., last month, along with the photo that made it appear as if he was flaunting his wealth during the lockout. It's not the first time Ladd has had some Twitter fun with teammates. The day the lockout ended, he tweeted this to defenceman Zach Bogosian, who's been hurt and collecting full pay during the dispute: OK @Bogogo_44 you can stop milking you injury now! Time to get back to playing the game we all love! In a conversation with Dustin Byfuglien the other day, Ladd suggested the compressed 48-game schedule was right up the defenceman's alley, because he usually does well over the first 50 games or so.
