Before the acquisition of Andrew Bynum, the Sixers were poised to have a battle at starting center: incumbent Spencer Hawes vs. newly signed veteran free agent Kwame Brown. Trading for Bynum has, of course, changed that. So what becomes of Hawes and Brown? Brown will back up Bynum, and coach Doug Collins has hinted at making Hawes his starting power forward, a job that had been held by Elton Brand the past four seasons.
