Despite securing a win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday evening, the Portland Trail Blazers also managed to suffer a loss ahead of the weekend slate. According to an official statement released by the Western Conference franchise, the Trail Blazers are expected to be without big man Al-Farouq Aminu for at least the next two-to-three weeks. It is also worth noting that Aminu has been sidelined due to what has formally been diagnosed as a sprained right ankle. Originally breaking into the highest level back in 2010-11, the veteran power forward has spent time with the Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks in addition to the Trail Blazers. Currently in the midst of his third go-round as a member of the Trail Blazers, he was originally selected by the aforementioned Clippers in the first round of the 2010 NBA Draft out of Wake Forest.
