Alex Burrows may have suited up for his final game with Ottawa Senators after being placed on waivers Sunday at noon. The Senators also waived veteran defenceman Johnny Oduya because they haven’t been able to deal him. If he does clear then it’s doubtful he’ll play much here. It gives a team the option of picking him up if they don’t want to give the club a draft pick for him. With his 10-game suspension for kneeing New Jersey’s Taylor Hall in the head after jumping him during a game Feb. 6 at the Canadian Tire Centre set to expire after the club’s visit to Washington Tuesday night, the 36-year-old Burrows will find out Monday at noon if he’s been picked up by anybody else. Once these waivers pass, NHL rosters can be expanded from their 23-man limit with the trade deadline set for 3 p.m. EST Monday.
