West Brom will look to sign Ahmed Hegazi on a permanent deal when the transfer window opens. The Baggies want to tie the Egyptian down to a long-term contract after signing him on loan for the season from Al Ahly. They have the option to buy the centre-half before January 31 and a €5million agreement is in place. Recently both Liverpool and Leicester have been linked with the defender but boss Alan Pardew is keen on wrapping up the deal. Speaking about putting the wheels in motion, the boss said today: “We’re pretty much down the road on that one,” “I can’t confirm anything but if we can then we’ll do that.” Hegazi has been in fine form of late and was inspirational in the 0-0 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.
