B.J. Emmons, who would have been a sophomore running back at Alabama this season, has transferred from the program, SEC Country has learned. Emmons, a former 4-star prospect from Freedom High School (Morganton, N.C.), rushed for 173 yards and a touchdown during the Crimson Tide’s first seven games last season before suffering a Lisfranc fracture in his foot. That injury caused him to have two surgeries. Emmons was expected to be 100 percent cleared to return to practice for fall camp.
