Around 2 p.m. Sunday, Texas A&M head football coach Kevin Sumlin sent out his customary "#YESSIR!" tweet, generally reserved for when the Aggies pick up a commitment from a recruit. Roughly 10 minutes later, it was revealed that the tweet was regarding Plano East senior-to-be Landis Durham, who announced a verbal commitment to A&M on Twitter. Logging time at both defensive end and linebacker in two seasons with the Panthers, Durham is tabbed a three-star prospect and had received offers from the likes of Baylor, Nebraska, TCU, SMU and Texas Tech. He broke onto the scene at East during his sophomore year, tallying seven sacks and receiving District 10-5A Defensive Newcomer of the Year honors as a defensive end.
