Arizona Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson turned back the clock during his first game with his new team on Sunday, rushing for 134 yards and scoring a pair of touchdowns in his debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Peterson was notably traded to the Cardinals from the New Orleans Saints this past week, a huge change in circumstances for the veteran running back, who once instilled terror into the hearts of defenses throughout the league. Things did not exactly work out for Peterson with the pass-heavy Saints, as he rushed for just 81 yards on 27 carries in four games with the club. So, was the 32-year-old thinking anything about New Orleans after his monster game with the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon? “Not at all, to be honest,” Peterson said, according to Peter King of The Monday Morning Quarterback. “But after the game a couple things went through my mind.”
