Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre is in the lineup as the designated hitter for Monday's game with the Oakland A's, one day after leaving the second game of a doubleheader with a left shoulder strain. Michael Young, who left Sunday night's game early with a sore left Achilles, is playing third base. Beltre hurt the shoulder diving for a ball in the ninth inning of the first game on Sunday and tried to play through it in the second game. But after trying to leap for a ball in the seventh inning, manager Ron Washington felt like Beltre didn't look right and took him out as a precaution.
