Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre had an MRI that revealed a "minor" strain of his left hamstring. Beltre, who batted .376 in May, was not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Kansas City Royals. Jeff Baker started at third in Beltre's place, batting sixth. Texas manager Ron Washington said Beltre could be back in the lineup against Boston on Tuesday night. The Rangers have an off day Monday. "I was concerned at first, but once I got the news, I'm not," Washington said. "A couple of days and he should be back in there." Beltre came out of Saturday's game against the Royals after the ninth inning. The Rangers lost 4-1 in 10 innings.
