Even while the Rangers have moved on in the playoffs, the verbal spat between the Capitals and Blueshirts just won't die. While appearing on a D.C. radio show with Chad Dukes and LaVar Arrington, Adam Oates was asked if he could beat up John Tortorella. The Capitals coach responded, via Adam Gretz of CBSSports.com. "Yes. Easily." Oates -- who was once an assistant coach with the New Jersey Devils -- also responded to Tortorella's comments from yesterday, in which he said "everybody and their brother [was] whining out there in Washington about what happened in the series" and thought it was why the Caps fell to the Rangers in seven games. "Well, I think he's out of line. He should be worried about his own series. We didn't whine once during the series. I never complained. I don't know, did you guys ever hear me complain about officiating?" Oates said.
