David Wright must truly be a special guy if he's convinced the Mets to put money aside in such a prominent way here.

New York Mets captain David Wright made an emotional announcement during a press conference Thursday, announcing that after much consideration, he'll be activated for the Mets' last homestand of the season. He will make the final start of his MLB career on Saturday, Sept. 29, capping his professional career.

And for the six games he'll be active for (five of which will involve him being glued to the bench), he is going to cost the Mets A LOT of money.

Yikes, that's a hefty sum.
