The final seconds of another eventful Flyers power play were ticking away when opportunity arose Saturday night at Bell Centre. Claude Giroux, stationed at his favorite spot on the ice, was fed a perfect pass from Kimmo Timonen. From the left circle, the captain wound up for a one-timer ... then swung and missed so badly that he looked like Phillies slugger Ryan Howard whiffing at a soft curve from a lefty reliever. It was that kind of night, and it’s been that kind of season for the Flyers. They’re just not clicking much, and it was more of the same against the Montreal Canadiens, who rolled to a 4-1 victory that made it two losses in two nights and three over two sets of back-to-backs this week. “On the offensive side of the puck, that’s where we seem to be misfiring right now,” Flyers coach Peter Laviolette said. “We missed the net probably four or five times there where we had good quality scoring chances and didn’t come away with anything.”
