Another cheerleader lawsuit has popped up, and this one involves the Jets. A former Jets cheerleader identified in court documents only as Krystal C. has filed a class action suit in Bergen County Court. She is seeking damages for unpaid wages and reimbursement of work-related expenses. Her suit alleges that the Jets’ cheerleaders, known as the Flight Crew, a earn an hourly wage of $3.77 when all total work hours are factored in, and that they make just $1.50 when expenses related to hair, makeup and transportation are factored in. According to the suit, the Jets’ cheerleaders are paid $150 per game and $100 per special event. Krystal C. spent one season cheering for the Jets, in 2012. Her lawsuit is the fourth by cheerleaders against an NFL team. The Bengals, Bills and Raiders are facing similar suits for low-paying hourly wages, when all work hours are considered.
