One of the nation’s best defensive prospects out of the 2018 class is heading to Ohio State. Four-star outside linebacker Dallas Gant announced on Tuesday that he is verbally committing to head coach Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound defender hails from Toledo (St. John’s Jesuit), Ohio. The 247 composite rankings label Gant as the No. 126 prospect in the nation, the No. 5 outside linebacker and the No. 4 player in the state of Ohio. “Ohio State is very comfortable. They tend to their players, they [have] great NFL players and they just make the place successful,” he told Tom Loy of 247 in April.
