The competition in Auburn's 2018 backfield just got a little thicker. Harold Joiner, a four-star running back out of Mountain Brook High in Birmingham, announced his verbal commitment to the Tigers during his official visit on Sunday. “It’s been a decision I’ve been wanting to make. It was between LSU and Auburn,” Joiner said. “My dad was telling me to hold off to weigh out my choices and things like that, and we decided today was the day.” Joiner is the third running back in Auburn's 2018 class, joining early four-star signees Asa Martin (Decatur, Ala.) and Shaun Shivers (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.). The 6-foot-3, 220-pound running back ranks No. 5 at the position and No. 3 in the state of Alabama, according to 247Sports.
