49ers right tackle Anthony Davis is recovering from offseason surgery on his right shoulder and expects a full recovery for the 2014 season, he revealed Wednesday on social media. "I recently had surgery for the first time ever," Davis posted on Instagram with a photo of his right arm in a sling. "Played the majority of the (2013) season with a (messed) up shoulder." Davis said he got injured in a Sept. 22 loss to the Colts. He subsequently showed up on the 49ers' injury report with a shoulder issue and was limited in practice over the next five weeks. Davis has started every game since the 49ers selected him in the first round of the 2010 draft out of Rutgers. He signed a five-year, $37 million contract extension last April. "Never made excuses. Just got the job done," Davis wrote. "This game has a way of seeing what you're really made of. One of the reasons I love it.
