After cornerback Eric Wright failed a physical which voided his trade from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the San Francisco 49ers the team re-signed undrafted rookie Lowell Rose to the 90-man roster. Wright’s failed physical had the 49ers front office scrambling to find a replacement with the official start of training camp only days away. Rose was the best option available to the Niners. but he will likely be at the bottom of the depth chart at cornerback when camp starts. He was cut by San Francisco four days ago to make room for Wright. Rose (6-1 192) went to Tulsa where he earned honorable-mention All-Conference USA last season. In his senior year he recorded 56 tackles two interceptions two forced fumbles and a team-high 10 passes defensed.
