Wide receiver Allen Robinson will become a free agent in March should he and the Jaguars fail to come to terms on a new deal before then. If Robinson does wish to explore other options, the San Francisco 49ers are among a handful of a teams expected to show a high level of interest. This news comes courtesy of NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The idea of Robinson coming to San Francisco would pair him up with a head coach in Kyle Shanahan who absolutely loved the receiver heading into the 2014 NFL Draft. A potential signing would also see Robinson work with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo who was part of his 2014 draft class. The 49ers currently have the third-most salary cap space, giving them the necessary cash to pony up a huge contract for the former Pro Bowler.
