The Milwaukee Bucks’ bid to repeat as NBA champions came to an abrupt ending against the Boston Celtics on Sunday.

The C’s took care of business by overcoming the Bucks by a final tally of 109-81. Now, they’ll spend the summer looking for avenues towards improvement. Fans shouldn’t be surprised if this team opts to make some roster changes this summer.

They probably won’t be huge ones. The Bucks were without Khri Milldeton against Boston. The series could have gone altogether differently if the Bucks had had their second offensive option.

Still, some tinkering on the margins could make them more competitive in 2022-23.

We’ll explore some possibilities here. They won’t be potentially earth-shattering blockbusters. That feels like an unnecessary route for a team one year removed from an NBA championship to take.

They’ll still be meaningful deals. If the Bucks make even one of these, they should be scarier in 2022-23. Here are three trade ideas for them heading into the summer.

Utah Jazz Receive: G Grayson Allen, 2023 Second-Round Pick (MIL), 2024 Second-Round Pick (MIL)

Milwaukee Bucks Receive: F Royce O’Neale

If the Milwaukee Bucks missed one player besides Middleton this postseason, it was probably P.J Tucker. His energetic brand of versatile defense certainly gave them a boost during their 2020-21 championship run.

Royce O’Neale is a suitable replacement. He provides much of the same value that Tucker does. He’d be the perfect addition for this team to make this summer.
