The Washington Football Team made some strides last season and fell to the eventual Super Bowl winners. With the moves the team made this offseason, Washington is headed in the right direction.  The front office franchise-tagged All-Pro Guard Brandon Scherff, and signed multi-year deals with wide receiver Curtis Samuel and cornerback William Jackson III.  Washington’s roster still has several holes, but below are three options for Washington in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft.

1. Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech

Next season, Ryan Fitzpatrick or Fitzmagic, depending on what version shows up will be playing under center. The journeyman is on a one-year deal and Washington has yet to find its franchise quarterback moving forward.

In the meantime, Washington can round out the team and make life easier for its future signal-caller. The defense is already elite, so there should be fewer shootouts when he arrives, reducing the pressure and expectations placed on him.

Terry McLaurin and Samuel form a scary receiving duo and will be reliable targets. While the offensive line exceeded expectations last season, there is a need for a high-level, left tackle prospect. Hopefully, Washington can select their next Trent Williams in this draft.
